Over the next few days, I’ll make sure your project is fully organized on my end and send along anything you need to get started. From there, I’ll stay in touch at key points throughout the planning process, including when it’s time to schedule your engagement session (if applicable), complete any final details, and begin building your photography timeline.

You’ll never be expected to remember what comes next. I’ll guide you through each step and reach out when it’s time for your attention.

How We'll Stay in Touch

One of the best parts of my job is getting to know my couples—not just showing up on the wedding day.

Whether you have a quick question, need a second opinion, or simply want to share an update, I'm always happy to hear from you. From the day you book until your gallery is delivered, I'm here as a resource throughout your wedding journey.

Email is the best way to reach me, and I do my best to respond within 24–48 business hours. As your wedding day gets closer, you'll naturally hear from me more often as we finalize timelines, questionnaires, and all the little details that help your day run smoothly.

Engagement Session Planning

If your collection includes an engagement session—or you've decided to add one—I'll reach out when it's time to start planning. Together, we'll choose a date, find the perfect location, and create a session that feels true to the two of you. You can expect your engagement session photos back within 2 weeks and this will be the beginning of your beautiful wedding story in visual form.

That said, if you're already excited and have ideas or a season in mind, don't wait for me! I'm always happy to start planning early. The sooner we begin dreaming things up, the more options we'll have.

Timeline Guidance

One of the most valuable things I'll help you with is creating a photography timeline for your wedding day.

If you're working with a wedding planner or coordinator, I'll collaborate with them to make sure your photography schedule fits seamlessly into the overall timeline. Together, we'll map out when each photography moment will take place—from getting ready and first looks to wedding party portraits, group portraits, golden hour, and any other special moments you've planned.

If you aren't working with a planner, don't worry. I'll help you build a timeline based on your ceremony time, sunset, and the flow of your day so we can make the most of every moment without making your wedding feel rushed.

The goal is simple: a thoughtful plan that allows you to spend less time wondering where you need to be and more time enjoying your wedding day.

Group Portrait Planning

Group portraits are one of the few parts of a wedding day that benefit from careful planning—and you won't have to figure it out alone.

During our final planning call, we'll create your group portrait list together. I'll help you think through the combinations you may not have considered, offer suggestions based on your family dynamics and timeline, and make sure we've included everyone who matters most.

Once we have your list, I'll personally organize it into the most efficient order possible. By planning who stays in each photograph and who steps in or out next, we minimize unnecessary movement, keep portraits flowing smoothly, and make the best use of your time.

This is one of the areas where experience truly makes a difference. Even on wedding days with tight timelines or unexpected delays, a thoughtfully planned portrait list helps us stay organized, relaxed, and focused on getting you back to your celebration as quickly as possible.

Rain & Backup Plans

Rain is one of the biggest worries couples have, but I promise you—it doesn't have to be.

We'll keep an eye on the forecast as your wedding day approaches and talk through any adjustments if needed. Whether that means shifting portrait times, using covered locations, or embracing the weather with a few clear umbrellas, we'll have a plan in place.

Some of my favorite wedding photographs have been made on rainy days. The goal isn't to avoid the weather—it's to be prepared so you can enjoy your day no matter what Mother Nature decides.

What I'll Need From You

A few weeks before your wedding, I'll gather the final pieces of information I need to make your day run as smoothly as possible.

This includes things like your finalized timeline, addresses, family and chosen-family portrait list, vendor information, and any meaningful traditions or moments you'd like me to be especially aware of. I'll also ask for the names and Instagram handles (when available) of your vendors so I can properly credit everyone who helped bring your day together when I share your images.

Most of this information will be collected through your final questionnaire and planning call, so you won't have to wonder what to send or when. I'll guide you through everything step by step.

What to Expect on Your Wedding Day

By the time your wedding day arrives, all of the planning is done—and that's exactly how it should feel.

My goal is to create beautiful photographs while allowing you to be fully present with the people you love. I'll gently guide you when direction is helpful, step back when genuine moments are unfolding, and quietly keep an eye on the timeline so you don't have to.

But my role doesn't stop at taking photographs.

I'm also your calm presence, your biggest cheerleader, and an extra set of experienced hands throughout the day. Whether it's bustling a dress when no one can quite figure it out, pinning a boutonnière after the florist has left, calming pre-ceremony nerves, fluffing a veil, carrying a bouquet between portraits, or solving the little problems that inevitably pop up, I'm always paying attention to what you need in the moment.

Throughout the day, I'll be watching for both the big moments and the little ones—the happy tears, the quiet glances, the bear hugs, and the unexpected moments that often become your favorite photographs.

The best thing you can do is trust the process, soak it all in, and enjoy every second. I'll take care of the rest.

Sneak Peeks, Gallery Delivery, Prints & Albums

After your wedding, the excitement doesn't have to end.

I'll share a handful of sneak peeks shortly after your wedding so you have something beautiful to relive and share while I begin carefully editing your full gallery. Your complete gallery will be delivered within the timeframe outlined in your contract, and I'll let you know as soon as it's ready.

When your gallery arrives, it becomes your one-stop destination for everything you'll need. From there, you can download your high-resolution images, share your gallery with family and friends, order professional-quality prints and wall art, and even create a beautiful custom album—all directly from your gallery with just a few clicks.

These photographs deserve to live somewhere more meaningful than a phone screen. Whether it's an album on your coffee table, framed artwork on your walls, or prints shared with the people you love, I hope you'll find ways to enjoy them for years to come.
