charlotte wedding photographer poses with camera for headshot dreadlocks tattoos red lipstick

Hi, I'm Amanda.

And if I'm being completely honest...This page isn't really about me. Because when you're looking for a photographer, you're probably not wondering what my favorite color is or whether I drink coffee (I do).

You're wondering things like... "Will she make us feel comfortable?" "Will she know what she's doing?" "Will she understand what matters to us?" "Can I trust her with these memories?"

Those are the questions I hope this page answers.

I've spent more than a decade photographing people, but I've learned that great photography has very little to do with cameras.

It's about paying attention. It's noticing the nervous squeeze of a hand before a ceremony, the look your partner gives you when you aren't paying attention, and the quiet moments in between that often become the ones you treasure most.

My job isn't to turn you into someone you're not. It's to get to know you well enough that your photographs feel unmistakably like you.

No forced moments. No awkward posing. No expectations about what your wedding or portrait session should look like.

Just an experience that feels relaxed, genuine, and true to who you are.

A few things you should know...

Outside of photography, I'm usually planning my next international adventure, rescuing any animal that crosses my path, or disappearing down a rabbit hole learning something completely random just because it sounded interesting.

Curiosity is probably my favorite personality trait. It's what makes me love traveling. It's what makes me stop for conversations with strangers. And it's what helps me connect with the people I photograph.

Because the more I understand you...the more honest your photographs become.

If we're a good fit...

You don't have to know how to pose. You don't have to be "photogenic." You don't have to perform for the camera. You just have to show up exactly as you are.

I'll take care of the rest.

Everyone deserves to feel seen.

No matter your race, culture, identity, family, or love story, you're welcome here. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and completely yourself—because that's where the most meaningful photographs are made.

If that sounds like the kind of experience you're looking for...

I'd love to get to know you.
